Another Blog.

Starting off a blog is always tough. I never really know what to say, write, or how to write it. I am, your ususal person with the unability to self start.

I'd like to treat this less like I'm talking to someone and more of a play-by-play for myself. So that way, anyone can come in and pick up. These will be my own notes, ideas, comments and motivations to finish & start all that I plan to do. It will document my relationships, my work, my daily battles with myself and others. But more importantly, it will be a place for me to go when I need to vent without actually saying a word. But how true is it, that written words can be so much more profound then actually speaking them?

Currently, as I sit: I run a list in my head of things that need to be done before I lay my head down for bed in 2 hours.  "The recycling from christmas should go, and the dishwasher could be emptied. My desk is a mess, and the list of montly bills should  be written. I'm sure the floors could be swept & I still haven't hung the new shower curtain."  However, I'd rather sit here and push off the daily chores until Thursday, New Years and do it all then. Why waste the few valuable hours of alone time I have each day to being a domesticated person? Shouldn't I be able to enjoy them, even if that means: Blogging, eating skittles, watching Hockey or Just being lazy?

I remember when I was 16, and how I thought that once I was 21 I'd be partying all the time. Drinking on weekends. I'd have that fun place to go where people would just crash and all day long it would be a sea of entertainment. Well, I'm 21 now, and am I glad that's not the way it is. I value the fact that I have nice clothes, and furniture. I value the fact that my boyfriend of 21 months & I can afford a 2 bedroom apartment (even though we REALLY don't need it) in this economy. I value the fact that for "2 20-somethings," that are just starting out, we're doing okay. We have 2 good cars, a place of our own, food in the fridge, and all our bills paid. We're not living with my mom, though somedays I wish I were, it'd be a lot cheaper. And we're not struggling to get by.

As today winds down to a close, and tomorrow should be even busier I bid this journal farewell, at least for the night. Hopefully, working will allow me to log in, but I doubt it.

However, for fun, and to again realize the end of another year & the start of 2009. I'll play around with some little notes & such. :-)

The directions "[It] can be done in two different ways. Either you can do all seven categories and list two answers for every category (get it? It's 2007, so I'm playing on the two numbers: 2 and 7) OR you can choose two of the categories and list seven answers."

If you want to play, either leave your answers as a comment on this post, or post the whole thing yourself on your own blog (and leave me a comment letting me know so I can go look). I love these pay-it-forward memes!
